THE STARCHILD RESEARCH

The Starchild Problem

Any potentially important scientific discovery is always met with skepticism and dismissal from a large portion of the scientific community. The links below examine in depth some of the conditions often suggested as possible causes for aspects of the Starchild skull's abnormality, with direct comparisons to the skull itself. These are the unvarnished, black-and-white facts from scientific and medical textbooks, articles, and reports.

If the skull really is unique, why would science dismiss it?

Abnormally flatted occipital region: Cradleboarding (causing posturally produced occipital flattening)

Bulging parietal regions, abnormal cranial shape: Hydrocephaly

Bulging parietals: Comparison to skull with Parietal Bossing (as seen on National Geographic "Is It Real? Ancient Astronauts" documentary)

Bulging parietal regions, "harlequin" orbits (eye sockets): Brachycephaly (coming soon)

Bulging parietal regions, abnormal cranial shape: Craniosystosis (coming soon)

Shallow orbits, abnormal cranial shape: Crouzon's Syndrome (coming soon)

Shallow orbits, abnormal cranial shape, ear position: Down's Syndrome (coming soon)

Cranial abnormality, small facial features: Hallerman-Streiff (coming soon)

Several other conditions have been suggested as possible causes for the Starchild's abnormality, none of which fit the skull's composite characteristics. Whatever the answer to the Starchild mystery might be, to be true and accurate that answer must be based entirely on facts and evidence. Though much evidence has been gleaned in the past seven years, there is still no definitive explanation, so we must continue to ask: "What is the Starchild?"
